An alternative to social media, MySunshine’s mission is to create a safe, secure platform that families can use to track their child’s milestones whilst retaining control of their image and personal data.
The app’s founder, Kieran Fitzsimons, commissioned Zipcopi to copyedit and proofread existing content for the MySunshine website launch and write blogs on an ongoing basis.
It was important to focus on MySunshine’s in-house style and keep it consistent. We made sure the content’s tone was warm, approachable and authoritative in order to attract a specific demographic (young families) whilst, crucially, building confidence in the brand’s offer.
We met with Kieran and took some time to fully understand the brand’s values and ambitions. As MySunshine were working to a strict timeline, started right away so we could supply copy and amendments within a tight turnaround. They also required research-rooted blogs that would increase social media engagement, improve search engine ranking and drive sales.

Premium coffee subscription service
We recently worked with an independent coffee company that offers a letterbox subscription service. Their subscription allows customers to receive packs of ethically sourced and independently-roasted coffee in the post each month.
As the brand was overhauling its website, they required new copy throughout. This included writing homepage copy, landing pages and product descriptions. We were given information about the company’s focus on ethical, fair trade sourcing and it was our job to bring these brand values to life.
After speaking to the team, we agreed on an optimum word count for the content across the site, dividing it into clear and logical sections. The website layout and design were still under construction at this point.
We worked on the copy over the course of three days, and the result was received extremely positively. However, once the copy was built into the design, we suggested that the content could be reduced further for maximum visual and sales impact.
While the client initially felt the brand values might be compromised, they were pleased with the final results, saying:
“We thought it couldn’t get any better, but it turns out it could!”
The end result? An intuitive website with punchy, evocative language bringing the product alive for visitors.
